LITTLE ONE MAG
Josh Rothstein was contracted to film & photograph then-future Oscars host Hugh Jackman in the weeks leading up to the award show in 2009. During their time on-set, Hugh and Josh maintained a good working rapport which led to a sudden and unexpected invitation a few months later: Hugh and his wife Deborra-lee, as part of their duty as ambassadors for World Vision Australia, were about to travel to Ethiopia and they wanted Josh to film the experience.
From the moment they landed in Addis Ababa, the trip kept a spontaneous pace, from navigating obscure locations on maps to making unplanned pit stops. The last minute decision to head to the Kochere region however proved to be fortuitous, as they became acquainted with a young coffee farmer named Dukale.
Originally slated to be a short promotional piece for World Vision, the project grew into something much more when Hugh made a promise to Dukale that would alter both of their destinies.
